Cedar Creek Dental

Dr.Jacob Martin

I always knew that I worked well with my hands, and I have always enjoyed talking with and getting to know the people around me.  It was during my first dental mission trip to Peru that I realized a career in dentistry was perfect for me!  It combined my love of the arts with my enjoyment of the sciences, as well as let me use my extroverted, people-centered side of my brain to communicate clearly and effectively with my patients while also making them feel comfortable in the dental chair.

Throughout my years of dental school in Birmingham, Alabama, my focus was always on my patients.  One of the deciding factors in my choosing to go to UAB was their very strong clinical program, which focused on teaching students to comprehensively treat their patients’ dental needs.  Providing the most comprehensive, up-to-date dental care with empathy and compassion continues to be at the forefront of my priorities as a dentist.

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and my family now lives near Gatlinburg, in the Smoky Mountains.  My wife, Sarah, and I graduated from college together, and since then, she has been working as a high school science teacher.  Sarah and I are excited to be in the central Wisconsin region, as we have many direct connections to the surrounding area: Sarah’s parents live in Chippewa Falls, and we got married in Manitowish Waters.

I am an avid musician and pianist, and I am very active at my local church.  Together, my wife and I enjoy many hobbies, but perhaps one of our favorites is traveling.  We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to live overseas for a year, myself in Seoul, South Korea, and she in Taipei, Taiwan.  Other hobbies of ours include cooking, building LEGO sets, visiting Disney parks around the world, and skiing (both on the snow and on the water).
